The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars

Established as an international center for scholars, the Center memorializes Woodrow Wilson -- professor, university president, and twenty-eighth president of the United States -- by supporting scholarship and linking that scholarship to issues of concern to official Washington. It does so by offering fellowships and other support to high-level professors, public officials, journalists, professionals and other leaders, giving them special opportunities for research and writing. Also in support of scholarship, the Center hosts seminars and conferences, and it provides a variety of publications and broadcasting.

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars Solution

From the Wilson Center’s founding in 1968 until 1989, the Center used the Smithsonian for its accounting needs. Increasingly, the Center’s finances were in need of more timely reporting and on-line access to financial data.

The Woodrow Wilson International center for Scholars customized FundWare Enterprise Edition solution:

The Center found its enterprise solution by bringing its accounting function in-house and through the use of FundWare initial PC-FUND software. The Center has grown and so has its use of FundWare software product to its latest migration to FundWare Enterprise Edition on a Windows 2000 terminal server. The result is exceptionally clean audits, customized reports to fit the various users and financial statement requirements.
