FundWare Advanced Security
provides additional levels of security beyond
the core security supplied by the General
Ledger module. Advanced Security also allows
for information access to be based on account
structure logic, allowing data input, inquiry
and reporting controls to reflect management
responsibilities. Access can be allowed based
upon application, account mask, and include
and/or exclude attributes. Different account
restrictions for every ID type can be implemented.
FundWare Advanced Security
controls access via an account mask. For
example, users can access only their department's
projects or grants data. Account and attribute
restrictions can be used to further restrict
access and are assigned for each application.
This means that users can access different
information in accounts payable than they
can in payroll.
When used in conjunction
with FundWare Accounts Payable/Purchase
Orders, Advanced Security controls access
to only certain stages, allowingFundWare Accounts Payable to determine
access for purchasing and accounts payable
functions.
