With the look and feel of electronic spreadsheets, Budget Preparation allows you to easily create multiple budget revisions and submit final scenarios for organization-wide review and approval. 	Budget Flexibility and Control The first step inFundWare Budget Preparation is to “pull” historical information from the FundWare General Ledger, Project Grant, and Payroll applications in order to provide a starting place for your new budget. An independent Microsoft® SQL database provides the framework for the downloaded financial information and all budget assumptions that you create. When your budget is approved, automatically upload detailed budget transactions back to your FundWare ledgers.
	Headcount Based Budgeting As part of your budgeting process, the ability to analyze personnel costs and perform various staffing scenarios can be vital to your organization. Import detailed employee salary information, referred to as “Headcount” budgeting, directly from the FundWare Payroll application. You can automatically see the monetary effects of adding or restructuring personnel. Revisions are available for tracking multiple staffing scenarios and to provide you with an analysis tool to more effectively budget your largest expenditure items, which are personnel costs.
	Worksheets Reflect Budget Responsibilities After pulling historical information from FundWare, prepare your budget using simple spreadsheet commands like cut, paste, move, and apply formula. Refresh your budget data at any time, automatically reflecting up-to-the-minute actual balances from the FundWare General Ledger and Project Grant applications.
	User-Defined Worksheets With the look and feel of an electronic spreadsheet application, user-defined worksheets (created for each area of responsibility) have the power to manipulate your budget using full-screen editing techniques. Up to 99 revisions reflect multiple budget scenarios for a single worksheet, providing valuable audit trails of the entire budgeting process.
	Export Budget Data and Import Back FundWare Budget Preparation also allows you to easily export any of your budget spreadsheets directly into Microsoft® Excel or to an HTML format, the structure and layout required for the Web. With a few simple mouse clicks, budget worksheets can now be exported to Microsoft® Excel and available to users who prefer this application for budget creation!
